Endorsement Recommendation
The 38th Assembly District Republican Central Committee invites all registered republicans seeking an endorsement recommendation to the LAGOP for the 2022 General Election to apply below. The 38th Central Committee will host a Candidate Endorsement Recommendation meeting shortly after the close of the candidate filing deadline (August 12th, 2022), in which candidates that have applied are invited to speak to the committee regarding candidacy and stance on key issues. Details of the meeting will be emailed shortly after your application is received.

Per LAGOP bylaws Article XVIII. Endorsements. Section 1. Non-Partisan Elections. Subsection A & B (1)
“Only the County Committee may make endorsements in non-partisan elections. District Committees do not have the independent authority to endorse. Except as otherwise provided in these Bylaws, an endorsement for a candidate may be given only at regularly noticed meetings of the County Committee, and only upon a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the voting members present and voting.”
“Upon making the recommendation for endorsement, the Chair of the District Committee shall notify the County Chair and County Secretary of the proposed action. The County Secretary shall immediately notify the Executive Board of the proposed endorsement recommendation by the District Committee.”
Per LAGOP bylaws Article XVIII. Endorsements. Section 4. Withdrawal of Endorsements, the 38th Central Committee and the LAGOP reserve the right to withdraw the endorsement or recommendation of endorsement of a candidate upon written or electronic notice of the proposed action.
